Pre-Event Volunteering includes: Aug 8, 2023 handing out letters to local businesses regarding road closures etc. Aug 22, 2023 posting no-parking signs along 1st ave where festival will take place.

Volunteer by helping at our event at one of our activity booths such as the kids craft activities, our community banner paint project, or our art jam paint competition or other activities. Our volunteer coordinators will let you know where we could use your help. May require a criminal record check prior to volunteering if working at the kids activity tent.

Walk around the event, be available to answer questions for attendees or participants, assist vendors by watching their tent while they get a snack or need a bathroom break. Keep an eye out for anything unusual that may need to be reported. Volunteers will be split into groups of 2 over their shift and will be assigned a specific section of the street.

Pickup coffee and snacks for event days and distribute to vendors/participants and volunteers during setup.

Welcome festival attendees to the event, answer questions, provide Ladysmith Art organizational information, take entries for the event prizes, etc. Volunteers will be stationed at either the North or the South Welcome tent and shifts will be 2-3 volunteers at a time.

Move Barricades at setup and takedown times for vendors, direct other traffic to stay out of the festival area, help vendors etc. find their assigned spaces and help with setup and cleanup as needed.
