Individuals and Groups are welcome as volunteers at Arts on the Avenue and Light Up the Night. Each festival requires about 25 volunteers to help manage on-site functions important to the event. Sign up solo to meet new people. Or, sign up with your group and have fun!
Volunteering is a fun way to see the Festivals, meet new people and promote art in the community. Volunteering is a great way to serve the event and also the greater community as well as being a source of enjoyment and pride. meet a variety of people from all walks of life, see what happens behind the scenes and, through your service, help make this event possible.
We have many positions available so it's easy to find one that's right for you.
Currently, we are looking for people to help with setting up chairs and tables for Arts on the Avenue and Light up the Night
Tasks will include:
· Setting up and moving tables and chairs
We will need:
· 2 people for Light up the Night on Saturday, August 25th, from 2pm - 5pm
· 1 person for Arts on the Avenue on Sunday, August 26th, from 6am – 8am
Wages will be $12.65/hr

All Festival Volunteer jobs are outside at our rain-or-shine event. The site is large, so your ability to navigate the site and willingness to endure all types of weather are important requirements.
We will need:
People to set up - Moving chairs and tables into the appropriate tents along First Ave
Tear down - Packing up chairs and tables at the end of the day
Traffic control on the site during set up and tear down
Help with entertainment - direct musicians to the correct tent
Help managing the kids area - provide creative crafts for kids of all ages*
Help selling tickets to our raffle and selling stickers
Help with promotions on social media and many more jobs big and small
Art Demo people
Booth Sitting (18+) - Booth sitters help artists by watching over their booths so that they can take needed breaks. Although booth sitters should not handle money or make sales, they are on duty to provide needed oversight while at an artist's booth.
Clean-Up Crew - Volunteers help us keep the site spic-n-span for everyone’s enjoyment. It’s one of the most important jobs on staff, since everyone appreciates a clean and neat environment throughout the venue.
Festival Greeters - Volunteers are the first to meet and greet Arts Festival guests, wearing a smiling face and a friendly attitude. Greeters also make our guests feel welcome. The Shifts are from 9:30 am - 11:30 am; 11:30 am - 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm - 4:00pm at the north and south entrances. Last shift packs up the tent .
Hospitality Cart - Volunteers assigned to the Hospitality Cart will deliver necessary coffee and muffins to the artists at 8:00 am.
Arts Council tent - Volunteers will take shifts in the Arts Council Tent and help fund raise and provide information about the Arts Council, the festival andlocation of specific booths.
Survey Taker - Volunteers in the Survey Taker role will be responsible for asking festival guests to participate in our festival satisfaction survey. You will have to walk around the footprint of the event and find people who would like to share their opinions with the festival.
