Arts on the Avenue is a non-profit community event, created to showcase visual and performing artists and artisans.

* If entering, please read Art Submission Details before filling out forms.

Fees and Application Process:

Please make the appropriate selections for fee payments and filling out forms. There are selections for the following:

  1. Filling out and payment of Artist Entry Fee

  2. Filling out and payment of Ladysmith and District Art Gallery Membership Fee

  3. Printing out and signing of Indemnification Form

  4. If needed, Extra Space Fee

  5. Checkout by clicking on the shopping cart image on the top right of the screen and complete payment details

Step 4. Indemnification Form - Please print out, sign and date form and mail or bring to the gallery. 

Step 5. Click the shopping cart image on the top right of your screen to checkout and complete your transaction. Please read the Art Submission Details below before proceeding.

Art Submission Details:

Please include the following items when either mailing or dropping off Art for Submission:

  • One clear photo of each art medium that you do. 
  • Submit one sample of each medium that you are selling. Maximum of up to 3 samples in total.
  • Clearly label the back of your photos and work, with your first, last name and phone number
  • Entry, Membership & Indemnification Forms
  • Indemnification Forms can be optionally filled out online, saved to your computer and emailed to - click here for Indemnification Form

Please include packaging of appropriate size and bearing sufficient postage to allow your photos and work to be returned if you have not made arrangements to pick them up on pickup date below.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations prior to May 22, 2017 will receive full refund less $25.00 administration fee.
  • Cancellations after May 22, 2017, 4:00 pm forfeit entire registration fee.
  • $40.00 NSF cheque charge.
    All entries will be handled with care. However, festival organizers shall bear no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to submissions.

Jury Process:

  • The jury will consist of professionals artists
  • Applications will be judged on quality, originality, variety, and aesthetic qualities.


  • All work must represent the artist’s original design. Any work created from a commercial pattern, kit or template will NOT be accepted.
  •  Artists may only display and sell work of the same style and quality that has been accepted by the jury.
  • Commercially produced cards must be subordinate to the actual work.
  • Single entry fee includes use of a table and chair, under a 20’x20’ tent, shared with other artists. Please indicate on this form if you do need a table and chair in addition to the 10’x6’ space under that tent.
